I wanted to come on here and explain the day I went through yesterday but I feel like my Facebook gives the best explanation of the things I dealt with. Because you never think it will happen to your city, and you ABSOLUTELY never think you will be THERE when it happens. But it did. My boyfriend and I left the Sox game and headed to the finish line of the marathon to watch his cousin pass and if he didn’t stop to smoke a cigarette we would have been 20/30 more steps ahead.. and closer. 

The state of confusion and panic is unreal and when you see cops and firefighters even looking confused it just puts you in a state of unreal-ness. I honestly felt like it was a dream, especially since it was such a beautiful day and I was having a really great day as well, and it was my first time in Boston on Marathon Monday.

Anyway, everyone just keep us in your thoughts. We really are a tough town, and if you mess with one of us you mess with all of us, but the support is always a nice booster.
